<description>Yes, 95% or even more of internet and work from home startups fail. The reason? I think it is mainly lack of persistance. If you are serious to grow your online business you need 4 things:

1. skills - (this is a point you can learn by reading relevant eBooks, video tutorials etc...)

2. tools - you need to have some tools at hand and you will have to invest some - even if small - money in them. Examples for such tools are: Web Editor (like xSitePro for example), Search Engine Submission Tools like SEO-Elite or Web-CEO, Graphic Software and some more...

3. time - you need to reserve some time to achieve your goal. If you try to start up your internet business part time, it will not work if you spend your evenings in front of your TV or hang around chatting with friends. You need to take ACTION, otherwise all your a.m. knowledge and tools will be worthless...

4. persistance - this is the point most internet startups and affiliates fail. If you think you setup a website and watch the money rolling in within 2 months time you´re way wrong. Usually you need one to four years to really get your web empire (virtual real estate) up and running before you can expect to make a living from it.

Yes, it sometimes is frustrating. If you give up within this hard time you will be within the 95% of failed affiliates. If you go through and make you´re way you can be within the 5% of successful internet startups and kiss your boss good bye.
